The rain fell on the gently swaying reeds. The old white Toyota sedan quickly pulled off the road and slid to a stop on the grass in front of the reeds. The driver jumped from the car and ran to the wetlands. The blonde-haired young man left the door open and the motor running. He thrashed through the reeds and sloshed over the wet ground. He stopped, raised his arms and looked up to the sky. "I ruin everything and everything ruins me," he screamed and beat his fists to his chest. He ran back to his car screaming, "I hate my life." He tripped, struggled out of the wetlands and punched the side of his car. He got into the car and drove away.
Be thankful for what you have.

By reading this Thanksgiving Story one thing seems particularly clear. This man was alone. Anytime I have ever felt this low, I was never alone. I am blessed enough to have a family who loves me, supports me and stands beside me so much that they have always stood with me… it has always been all of us together in the rain, screaming into the sky. And for that I am thankful every single day of my life. Because I know I will never be alone, no matter how low and hopeless the day may seem.
